In Maths we are finishing our unit on Measurement and moving on to a unit on Australian Money. This is a great opportunity for parents to involve children in daily discussions about money and link the learning in the classroom with the real world. Involving your children with household budgets or counting change when shopping would be particularly valuable.

Our inquiry into Sustainability this term has provoked a wide range of questions about energy and electricity and will be exploring these topics this week. We will be learning about energy, electricity, renewable and nonrenewable energy sources.

In Literacy we will be focusing on Visual literacy. The students will interpret and make meaning from information presented to them in the form of an image. Looking at advertising posters in the community would a great way to initiate discussion to support their learning.

The year 4 students are preparing for their First Eucharist and we will be keeping them in our thoughts and prayers.

Electives will be held this Friday at 2:30.

Have a great week
