WEEK 8
On Tuesday 30th we are heading to the Gould League and Glen Iris Wetlands. This will give the children the opportunity to further their learning about sustainability and the environment. Thank you to all those parents who are helping out. We are looking forward to a great day out.
In Literacy we are learning about similes, verbs and adverbs in the lead up to writing narratives and snapshots. We will continue to consolidate spelling, grammar and punctuation skills and work with the children in small focus groups to extend their understanding of books they are reading.
In Mathematics we will be exploring fractions and continuing with consolidation of number work. The children will be working in groups according to their point of need.
In Religious Education we are learning to understand what loving, caring and forgiveness are. We are learning to use words to describe our feelings in role play. By exploring these concepts we will come to realise how important they are to our relationships with family and friends.
We have our wonderful Art Expo on next week. On Wednesday you are invited to visit classrooms to view art pieces then on Friday we will all be heading to Dorothy Laver Reserve to take part in various activities to test our creativity. Looking forward to seeing you all there.
